Saab receives follow-on contract for GlobalEye EPICOS

The GlobalEye was a continuation of Saab’s popular Erieye airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) platform, using a new gallium nitride (GaN)-based active electronically-scanned array (AESA) radar – i.e. Erieye ER – paired Kockums (now Saab) delivered its first submarine with the name Svärdfisken (Swordfish) in 1914.
